You won't beat me Mr Murdoch

Aha its mine, Lost Season 3 is mine on DVD, I have Virgin Media, and thanks to Mr Murdoch I lost Lost which IMHO is one of the best things on Telly. But now I own it on DVD and so can watch and find out what happens. Its an odd show, and I still don't know what is really going on, but I don't think any one does.

From a writers point of view, I am a big fan of the flashback sequence as it allows us to get to know characters in a more relaxed setting. Sometimes the flashbacks are rubbish. Take Ana Lucia in season 2. But sometimes they can be really good. My fav character is Charlie, and there is something rather tragic about his flashbacks, he did not have to take heroin, but he failed.

On the bookstand: Still Apocalypse Watch. Its pretty unisipiring stuff from Robert Ludlum. It really does seem that his best stuff is the Bourne Trilogy. Its 800 pages long, and is overly converluted, and quite hard to read. But I shall perservere.

See you all

Death of a general

Last Wednesday night I played a game of Warhammer agasint my friend Terry. In that game my general the mighty champion of chaos, the Deamon Belakor, was quite happily castin magic spells left right and centre, befroe sending himself into the realm of chaos by miscasting a simple magic ball of doom. The battle went downhill for there for me, and despite a spirited attacks by a badly wounded horde of nurglings agaisnt a chariot. I lost, even if I almost managed to cause enough damage to my own army as Terry did.

Its funny how war goes. Next time Terry, next time.
